Yellow Belly

Today I have another great model! Yellow Belly or in papiamento Barika Geel.  These are really great little birds and fast too!  It takes a lot of patience too for birds, ask Mr. Greg Peterson, who is guru in bird photography here on the island.

Spidy 2

Today we have the same model! Spidy!  Yesterday I shot with the 70-200mm 2.8, but today I wanted to change things a little.  I have the 50mm macro and the Canon 7D which gives me a little extra range to 80mm.  This image has not been cropped in post what so ever.  Tip, always crop with you camera and not computer, this way you retain maxim image size.  This is very important when doing large prints.

Well here we go!

 

The thing I enjoy about nature is, it has a lot of different characters.  Check the belly part, looks like the Mexican lucha libre mask.  Pretty cool to me!
