Gasparito Restaurant

I got a call couple weeks ago from an old school buddy Danny Barros.  He and his parents runs Gasparito Restaurant & Art Gallery . They bought the restaurant some 10 years ago. The restaurant is actually and old Aruban house which was transformed into a restaurant.  Not only a restaurant but it is also an art gallery.  They display local paintings and also jewelry which can be bought at anytime.  The restaurant serves typical Aruban dishes, from stew goat, curry chicken, local caught fish served daily and a whole lot of more!! Can't mention all 'cause that list is a little long for me.

Ok, enough about the place now, you can go to there site which is going to be updated soon. Just click on the name above and you are directed to there site.

This what is look when you arrive.  The water well on the left is a real well which water was used from.

Here is the inside of the place.  Paintings hanging all over the place. All local artist!

A few local jewelry. Sterling silver and multiple stones and beads.

Here a shot from the outside.

This is one of the main dishes. Fish and shrimps served with mashed potatoes and lime grown from there back yard.

Another main dish, stew goat and chicken served with mashed potatoes.

This is a shot of the man himself who does all the prep work and cooking Danny. If I was you,  never mess with the chef!

Don't let this pictures scare you. Danny is a very down to earth dude! We really had fun making this shot.

I hope you enjoyed this. I know I got to go back and try out more of his food.  I was drooling so much just shooting these shots.

Cheers
